The
congregation at Holy Trinity has outgrown its
current sanctuary. The Master Plan determined
that the existing sanctuary built in the 1950's
should be replaced with a new structure.
The new worship space, which will
occupy the same location as the old, will be an
adaptable, multi-use nave that seats 400 - 450
people. Moveable chairs and an open floor plan
will allow the space to be used for many different
functions, including a range of liturgical services,
concerts, presentations, and even a labyrinth
meditation.
The exterior will match the look
and feel of the existing brick exterior. The placement
of the new addition respects the forested site
and takes advantage of the location on busy Raeford
Road. There will also be limited remodeling and
expansion of the existing parish hall. A new lot
will accommodate additional parking.
