The Military at Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity has long and close ties to the soldiers and families stationed at Ft. Bragg.  We have members whose ranks range from active duty privates to retired generals.  Over the years, many soldiers and their spouses have been leaders at Holy Trinity, serving on the Vestry, teaching Christian education, leading outreach and fellowship programs, and joining in foreign and domestic mission trips along with their teenage children.  One retired Special Forces officer even became a deacon and served here for several years before going on to seminary and becoming a priest.  Many of our Army families become very active in the parish as soon as they arrive.  The rest of us feed off their energy and new ideas.

We are eager to welcome those soldiers and families relocating to Ft. Bragg.  With the expected growth of Ft. Bragg as a result of BRAC in mind, we have formed a task force comprising soldiers and civilians to determine how Holy Trinity can be most helpful to new military families coming into our parish and our community.  If you are military, there is a place for you here.  Hoo ahh!

~ Upcoming at Holy Trinity~

Mark your calendars and invite a veteran or service member for Sunday, January 31st when we will observe Military Appreciation Sunday.  We are scheduled to host the 82nd Airborne Division Chorus who will perform immediately following the 10:30 service.  A luncheon will follow the performance.  Retirees and veterans are encouraged to wear service pins and members of the Armed services, who so desire, are invited to wear their uniforms.  Come and show your support for our parish's service members and their families!
