Outreach

Outreach at Holy Trinity
The people at Holy Trinity live out our parish motto, “Come in to worship; go out to serve,” through a variety of outreach ministries.

Holy Trinity’s Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry is our largest outreach ministry. Parishioners donate canned goods and money to support this ministry, and volunteers of all ages are involved in shopping and assembling the bags each week.

Adopt-a-Family
Every year parishioners “adopt” 15-20 families among our Food Pantry clients and deliver to their homes the makings for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and Christmas gifts for members of the household.

CARE Clinic Meals

Holy Trinity parishioners provide dinner once a month for the volunteers at the CARE Clinic.  A number of parishioners also offer their medical and dental skills at the Clinic.

May Fair
May Fair is Holy Trinity’s annual yard sale, held the first Saturday of May.  All of the proceeds, usually between $8,000-$12,000, support outreach ministries both in our community and around the world.

Mission Trips
Holy Trinity has a long history of sending mission teams to locations near and far.  A small team periodically goes on a medical-dental mission to the Philippines.  Other mission teams have built houses in Juarez, Mexico, repaired hurricane-damaged homes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, worked with children with AIDS and improved their daycare facility in Puerto Rico, equipped and staffed a dental office in Haiti, served in Honduras, and completed a building project in Appalachia.

Other Outreach Efforts
Holy Trinity participates with St. John’s Episcopal Church when guests of the Cumberland Interfaith Hospitality Network (CIHN) are staying at St. John’s.  Members of Holy Trinity are key leaders at the Fayetteville Women’s Center and the Fayetteville Urban Ministry.
Holy Trinity supports outreach ministries in the wider Episcopal Church and in the world through the United Thank Offering, Episcopal Relief and Development.  We have available for sale fair-trade shade-grown coffee, the profits of which support ERD and the Millennium Development Goals
