Worship
The
focus of our spiritual life is worship according to The
Book of Common Prayer. Our spiritual needs are met principally
through liturgy, preaching, teaching, and fellowship. Each
Sunday our schedule includes an 8:00 a.m. service without
singing; a light breakfast following that service until
9:15 a.m.; Christian Education from 9:15-10:15 a.m.; 10:30
Eucharist followed by a coffee hour in the parish hall.
During the week, we read Morning Prayer on
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 7:15 a.m. Each Wednesday,
we celebrate the Holy Eucharist at noon and again on Thursday
at 5:30 p.m.
During Holy Week 2007, the service schedule
will be Holy Eucharist on Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, and
Holy Wednesday at 7 p.m. On Maundy Thursday, we shall
celebrate the Eucharist with footwashings and followed by
the stripping of the altar, beginning at 7 p.m. On
Good Friday, the liturgy appointed for the day begins at
noon. On Saturday, the Great Vigil of Easter begins
with the lighting of new fire at 7 p.m.
