Youth
Holy Trinity is blessed with many teenagers. For youth activities, they are divided into three age groups: Rite 13 comprising 6th through 8th graders; J2A, mostly high school freshman and sophomores; and YAC, our junior and seniors. At the conclusion of J2A, almost all our young people choose to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Those who are confirmed tthen go with their leaders on a pilgrimage. In 2004, the J2A group went on pilgrimage to Quebec. The J2A graduates this year went to the Ghost Ranch outside Abiquiu, New Mexico. While there, we toured Sante Fe, learning much about its secular and religious history. We also spent a morning at the Benedictine monastery, Christ in the Desert, and another morining at the Taos Pueblo, exploring Native American religion. Along with the religious education, we also rode horses, kayaked, completed both low rope and high rope challenge courses, went white water rafting on the Rio Grande near Taos, and hiked to several picturesque spots on the ranch.
